Everyone's a Backup (Esports)

On the final day before the transfer window closed, Jiang Lin finally received his one and only offer from a professional team.

He eagerly opened the team roster.

--A notorious coin-flip top laner.

--A mid laner who slacks off.

--An ADC who loves to overextend and feed.

And the most troublesome one of all:

--A famous jungler everyone knows is brilliant, but who's wildly unpredictable both in and out of game. He's received offers again and again, only to be cut again and again.

And, of course, Jiang Lin himself:

--A rookie support who has only just reached the minimum age, has no experience, and appears to have no strengths beyond keeping his cool.

Jiang Lin: “...”

Maybe he shouldn't go pro after all.

.

One year later.

ORG, newly promoted to the LPL, heads into the Summer Split as the top team in the region. Besides a captain poster for jungler Lian Yao, rookie support Jiang Lin, who won Best Rookie and the Summer Finals MVP, even gets his own poster.

The top-liked comment beneath it:

--Mom Lin, keep your sons under control and don't let them go crazy QaQ

Jiang Lin is proud.

This team can't function without me.jpg

The second most-liked comment:

--I support Linlin and Daddy Yao getting married as soon as they win the championship!

Jiang Lin: “...”

Who agreed to that?!

--The shou isn't a girly type. He's emotionally stable to the max, gentle and accepting, and the bedrock keeping the whole team together, like the team's mother.

--lol An underdog nobody believed in comes back to become world champion

--One-on-one, happy ending

--The promotion system is still the same as the LDL: outstanding teams can advance to the LPL

Jungle-support pairing. A support rejected for being too young x an unpredictable jungler who was rejected.
