Nine Nether Terrace

Blurb:

Sangsang never imagined that the wild child her mother brought back from Baishou Mountain would turn out to be a prince of an enemy kingdom.

Her father and brother taught him archery and horsemanship so that one day he could protect her. Instead, he used those skills to destroy her country and slaughter her family, then imprisoned her in a lightless dungeon where he humiliated her day after day.

Reborn, Sangsang wants nothing more than to stay far away from him. Young Pei Yu is deeply hurt. Lowering his eyes, he asks her, "Sangsang, why are you afraid of me?"

Sangsang does her best to force a smile. "Who says I am? You're my bodyguard. What would I have to fear?"

"Then put down the dagger first."

Pei Yu points to the blade pressed against his chest. It was only a little longer, and he would have believed she really meant to kill him.
