When the Underworld fell into chaos, the Ten Yama Kings all fled into a mysterious realm, and the ghost emperors searched everywhere for them in vain.
Jiang Rang's arrival was like water splashing into a wok of hot oil, sending the ghosts of the Underworld scattering in all directions.
With her own strength, Jiang Rang overpowered the many ghosts who had risen in revolt. As luck would have it, though, she barely caught any of the little ones, while three major figures got away.
To keep the three ghosts from wreaking havoc in the human world, Jiang Rang sent a formal petition to Heaven, hoping the Celestial Court would send someone to help her catch them.
She had no other motive. She just wanted to get things done faster, so her promotion in the Underworld wouldn't be held up.
