Letters Across Time and Space [Mobius]

The premise is a little complicated, so it doesn't suit serialization. I'll post it once the whole thing is finished. Currently one-third complete.

Song Yize × Ding Zhinan

At first: A bold, direct boy with a strong offense and weak defense × a genius girl, aloof as a mountain's peak

Later: A gentle, refined prosecutor × a resolute, self-sacrificing doctor who saves the world

[Blurb]

The third chapter of The Time-Space Casebook reads:

"An old library hidden among the trees holds a secret known to no one. Once every ten years, you have a chance to return to the past or travel to the future. On the spring equinox, summer solstice, autumn equinox, and winter solstice, a time tunnel will open..."

Eighteen-year-old Song Yize receives a handwritten letter from the future. He crosses a corridor and meets himself ten years later.

His future self has someone he loves deeply, and she will disappear at some point further in the future.

"How can I avoid meeting her?"

Or, how can I meet her?

Twenty-seven-year-old Ding Zhinan steps into the world ten years in the future and witnesses a memorial service. She sees her own face in the black-and-white portrait, but Song Yize is nowhere to be seen.

She finds him in a bathtub filled with water.

"How can I save him?"

Thirty-eight-year-old Song Yize lives alone in an old house. He rises from a pile of case files and pours himself a little wine.

At 12:27 a.m., the doorbell rings in this house unknown to outsiders...

[Reading Guide]

1. Both leads transmigrate. A Mobius loop. The time-travel points and methods are the author's own invention, and there may be logic gaps. Discussion welcome.

2. Happy ending; one-on-one romance, though the leads interact across different timelines.

3. The story alternates between their perspectives. The male lead's perspective appears first for narrative reasons, but the female lead is the main character.

4. The leads, and their selves from different timelines, may not cooperate with one another. This isn't a wish-fulfillment story. Time travelers cannot change history; their actions in the past are part of the history of the present and future.
