The Dog's Curse

Nan Chen was born under the ill omen of a calamity star. His father spared his life on a whim of mercy, but eighteen years later, on the day of his capping ceremony, he received a secret decree from the new king and was sent to pay tribute to another state.

The tribute included himself.

Nan Chen stared at the uncle he was related to only in name for a long time, then smiled suddenly. "I shall obey the royal decree."

Like a wicked dragon plunging into the sea, he would make the whole realm add luster to his name as a calamity star.

Nan Chen still remembered the first time he met Ke Xia. He had held his life over him, forcing him to sell himself into servitude and acknowledge him as his master.

That man seemed unable to feel pain. Filthy and sprawled on the ground with his chest bared, he laughed at him. "Little novice, you're truly filthy."

Ke Xia was unruly and impossible to tame, obedient to one's face but defiant behind one's back, shameless, and a danger to himself and others. He was a vicious dog with sharp teeth, ready to bite off a piece of you if you let your guard down.

His Highness Nan Chen was gentle as jade, honest and upright, noble and open-hearted, helping himself while harming others. Unfortunately, he was a mad dog, too.

Nan Chen: "Do everything you can to please me, you homeless wandering ghost."

Ke Xia: "I'll wait for you in hell, my master, you demon wearing human skin."

The sharpest unsheathed blade deserves the most insane master.

Black-hearted mad dog × vicious dog just as he appears

P.S. Xia Xia has haphephobia
