##Cat paws making a heart##
Due to certain circumstances, Suzuki Makoto becomes an orphan and has no choice but to go to an orphanage.
There, she meets a dreamlike girl named Hoshino Ai, born from the collision of reddish purple and dark purple.
Suzuki Makoto looks at the beautiful child sitting in the corner, cold but lovely, and wonders how to make friends with her.
But Makoto has never made any friends before. Thinking they are both girls, she figures there's no harm in getting close...
So she happily goes over and gives Ai a big bear hug.
Hoshino Ai, who had been spacing out, feels the sudden warmth. The stars in her eyes flicker, and her little face fills with confusion.
"Huh?!"
One day at the orphanage, Suzuki Makoto meets a cat that claims to be a time-traveling System and says it's a fan of Hoshino Ai from another world.
The System cat catches Makoto and tells her that one day, someone will kill her childhood friend Ai.
Suzuki Makoto doesn't believe it.
Then the cat forces her to watch a whole night of two different versions of My Favorite XXko.
After being hit with two devastating twists in one night, Suzuki Makoto's smile grows dangerous. "Kamiki Hikaru, Kamiki Hikaru... System, do you have anything that could..."
The cat: "I'm scared."
When they grow up, Suzuki Makoto and Hoshino Ai talk about the future on a patch of grass behind the orphanage.
When Makoto hears that Ai wants to become an idol, she slowly turns to stone.
"Ai, is that really what you want?"
Ai looks at Makoto with wide eyes and nods.
"Yes! I want to be an idol!"
The dark purple in her eyes is surrounded by white stars, dazzlingly bright.
"There's no stopping you, is there?"
The next moment, Suzuki Makoto kneels on one knee, takes Ai's little hand, and launches into another chuunibyou speech:
"Your Highness, from this day forward, I am your knight! I shall sweep away every danger and help you ascend the throne!!!"
