Lately, he's been working at a cat cafe. Then a car accident unexpectedly binds him to a Cat Language System. To stay alive, he has to complete a mission to rescue a hundred cats. Poor, cat-loving Su Bie: "What? There's a deal like this?" Actually, he has a secret life goal: to find a home for every cat! And so he opens the door to a whole new world and sets out on the path to success. The cat cafe has no cats? No problem. Su Bie uses his level-ten cat-speak skills to recruit them from all over. The pretty stray calico on campus, the chubby orange tomcat who's been neutered, and even the cat buddies he's gotten to know at the hospital: he lures them all into becoming staff. A kitten in desperate need of help is scared of strangers and won't let anyone approach? No problem. Su Bie, who's fluent in cat, meows at the kitten until he successfully coaxes it into his arms. With his cat-speak skill, running the cafe is a piece of cake for Su Bie, too. After the cafe opens, the first wave of cat-loving classmates comes in. They praise the handsome manager and adorable cats, though they find them a little aloof and the cafe's facilities a bit shabby. Hearing the customers' feedback while secretly lurking nearby, Su Bie immediately comes up with a Cat Manners Training Plan and a Cafe Renovation Plan. He puts them into action at once, and they quickly pay off. When the students return, they're amazed by the elegant calligraphy and paintings, the cleverly designed wooden tables and chairs, and the wide selection of cat treats and toys. The college students all marvel that this equipment must have cost a fortune. Su Bie, eavesdropping again, nods to himself, then turns around and goes to ask the boss for funding. Boss Gu Mingcui listens to Su Bie's earnest appeal about how broke he is. "..." If he hadn't personally watched Su Bie stay up late writing, painting, and making wooden carvings to save money, he might almost have believed him. -- As the cat cafe thrives, Su Bie's life gets better and better. He's not only making money, raising cats, and improving his quality of life, but making progress in love, too. A handsome, wealthy cafe manager really is a great boyfriend. But Su Bie gradually notices something strange. The Maine Coon he rescued in the car accident seems a little too smart. Not only can it use all sorts of human furniture and help him keep the cats in line, it even boils water and takes care of Su Bie when he gets sick. Stranger still, his boyfriend knows about all sorts of things Su Bie has only ever done in front of the cats, and he's let it slip more than once. Su Bie (staring): "Is there something you want to confess to me?" Gu Mingcui: Looks up at the sky and whistles. #WhatDoCatsHaveToDoWithMe# Bonus Scene: During Cat Manners Training, Su Bie tells all the staff except the imposing, aloof Maine Coon to use a proper cutesy meow. He demonstrates with one himself. When it's the staff's turn, meows ring out. Most of the cats are fine, but two voices really stand out: "Mew~ purr, purr, purr~" That's the chubby orange tomcat who got the full neutering package. "Grr-ow!" That's the little princess Ragdoll they rescued. After meowing, the chubby orange cat coyly asks, "How did I do?" The Ragdoll asks in a raspy voice, "Bro, how was that?" Looking at the orange cat's steady, middle-aged-man demeanor and its practiced, coquettish meows, then at the Ragdoll's sweet princess appearance and rough voice, Su Bie silently gives them both a treat, then pounces on the Maine Coon beside him and buries his face in its fur. They're all full of contradictions, but compared with cats whose looks and voices are worlds apart, a Maine Coon that's aloof on the outside, has a swoon-worthy voice, and is really just an obedient, tsundere sweetheart is much easier to accept!!! Gu Mingcui, the tsundere being sniffed: He really does favor me more. [Poor, stingy but highly capable college student bottom x rich cat-person top who's aloof on the outside but really a tsundere] P.S.: 1. The story and romance are roughly split fifty-fifty. Until Shi Zheng discovers that Ling Liu is the very "fiance" his mother wanted to foist on him. Shi Zheng decisively walks away. He hates the feeling of being deceived and betrayed, and won't tolerate even the slightest bit of it. Who could have guessed that a month later, Ling Liu would show up at his door, insisting that he was carrying their child and producing a snake egg as proof? Shi Zheng: "?" Ling Liu: "Actually, I'm a snake." He sticks out his forked tongue, turns into a snake to show off his tail, and even lets Shi Zheng see his snake parts.
