Neon in Daylight

[Free-spirited and carefree vs. cool and restrained]

Some say that people spend their whole lives haunted by what they couldn't have when they were young.

Chen Qiqi didn't believe anything could haunt her, until Xie Su appeared at the door when she was on a blind date.

Xie Su was the boy she'd liked more than anyone when she was young.

But they were never quite on the same wavelength. When she liked him, he liked someone else.

And her blind date was Xie Su's good friend, not Xie Su.

He was only there to drive.

If she got what she wanted, would she finally be able to let go?

Chen Qiqi decided to use her blind date as a pretext to pursue Xie Su.

It went incredibly smoothly.

As she lost herself completely, Chen Qiqi thought: See? There's nothing in this world that can hold her back.

Sunlight spilled across the bedroom, falling on their shoulders.

The man beside her on the pillow overlapped with the boy in her memories. He seemed never to have changed.

Xie Su reached out with his long, slender fingers and gently traced her features, his eyes tender and satisfied.

"Let's break up," she said.

"Let's get married," she heard Xie Su say at the same time, his voice hoarse.
