Summer Cheer Song

Gentle, soft-spoken beauty and top student vs. an aloof, flirtatious baseball captain

1/ That day, outside the baseball field, Jing Yue saw the handsome, rebellious boy for the first time.

Qi An took his place in the batter's box. The smooth contours of his muscles were clearly visible beneath his baseball uniform, his lean build brimming with explosive power.

Under the summer sun, he swung with all his might and sent a beautiful fly ball soaring into the outfield.

At that moment,

brilliant sunlight streamed down behind Qi An, making the boy in her memories seem dazzling beyond compare.

2/ On the day of the college entrance exam pep rally, someone spotted Qi An, who was taking the sports admissions track, heading to the crabapple tree on campus, its branches covered in red wish ribbons.

Students crowded beneath the tree until there was no room to move.

The fastidious baseball captain of old could only squeeze awkwardly through the crowd, then reverently hang a red paper wish for someone to achieve top marks on the college entrance exam.

Qi An slowly closed his eyes and made a wish in his heart:

May his girl achieve top marks.

3/ At some point, Jing Yue suddenly realized something was wrong with her.

She seemed to have really fallen for that carefree, bold boy...

Beneath the romantic cherry blossoms, usually gentle Jing Yue seemed like a different person.

She subtly avoided Qi An as he approached and spoke in a cold voice. "This is getting too ambiguous, Qi An. We should cut our losses before it's too late."

Qi An froze for a moment, gazing helplessly at the girl he loved. A faint hurt showed in his eyes, and his usually low voice carried a rare note of grievance...

"But have you ever thought that puppies can get their feelings hurt, too?"
