The First Thing I Did After Awakening Was Reclaim My Beloved

Ye Xingchui was a top-tier star who reached the peak of fame right after his debut.

His career was on the rise, but he had one sworn enemy who clashed with him at every turn: Ling Heng, a hugely popular award-winning actor.

For some reason, they couldn't stand each other. They always put on cold faces when they met, and fought tooth and nail over every opportunity, often leaving a trail of chaos in their wake.

But lately, Ye Xingchui kept having the same dream.

It took place before they became famous, and revealed a secret past between him and Ling Heng.

They had lived under the same roof, loved each other deeply, and vowed never to part, no matter what.

After waking up from the dream over and over, Ye Xingchui finally remembered everything.

It turned out the world he lived in was an over-the-top entertainment-industry rise-to-fame novel, and he and Ling Heng were both nameless supporting characters.

But because they supported each other and rose so quickly, they had unwittingly stolen the spotlight from the protagonists, causing the plot to fall apart.

To correct the story, they were forcibly torn apart and turned into suck-ups who revolved around the protagonists, letting them step on their backs to reach the top before they were utterly destroyed.

Ye Xingchui shook with rage when he learned the truth.

If they wanted to reach the top, they could work for it themselves. What right did they have to rewrite his and Ling Heng's fate?

He would win Ling Heng's love back and return them to their own path!

A variety show called Wonderful Scenery was announced. With its top-tier production and lavish cast, it took the internet by storm.

Alongside Ye Xingchui and Ling Heng, bitter rivals who would do anything to beat each other, were three hot new talents: a seductive lead singer who had just released a hit album, a handsome actor who had won Best Supporting Actor, and a beautiful young heir who would have to take over the family business if he didn't work hard.

According to the plot, Ye Xingchui and Ling Heng were supposed to have a complete falling-out on the show, then become the three rising stars' lackeys, making them look genuinely good-hearted and exceptionally capable.

As soon as filming began, Ye Xingchui and Ling Heng were arranged to meet alone. The moment they looked at each other, the tension between them was palpable.

Fans and viewers went wild, eager to see how the two would clash.

[Ling Heng just stole Ye Xingchui's luxury brand endorsement. Ye Xingchui must hate him!]

[When enemies meet, their eyes blaze. If Ye Xingchui doesn't tear him apart, I'll livestream myself eating something!]

But Ye Xingchui felt as if he had been transported to another lifetime.

He gazed deeply at the lover he'd once been inseparable from, his heart aching. "Congratulations on getting the endorsement."

Ling Heng's muscles suddenly tensed, as if he were desperately holding back his boiling emotions. "...Yeah."

Just like when they were young.

Every time, they would run to each other, embrace, and offer congratulations.

When filming for Wonderful Scenery wrapped, the show's results left everyone stunned.

Ye Xingchui and Ling Heng changed their usual ways and began showing off their affection, creating countless viral moments and crushing the three rising stars completely.

The three rising stars fell into the mire. The original plot could no longer save them, and they were abandoned for good.

Later, old footage surfaced and shocked the entire internet.

Someone had filmed Ye Xingchui and Ling Heng as teenagers, their figures graceful and their bodies close, kissing on the roadside after coming back from grocery shopping.

Their eyes were full of affection and laughter as they gazed at one another, their love clear to the bone.
