The Sickly Support Is Everyone's Favorite [Esports]

Everyone knows that in a MOBA game, the bottom lane is a duo. The support is responsible for helping the ADC deal damage, blocking abilities for them, giving them all the farm, and building a wordless understanding with them.

Yu Chenxue, who had just undergone surgery, was an outstanding support just like that.

He returned to the rundown club he had founded and began holding tryouts for a bunch of players he had cobbled together from here and there. He even signed up for this year's professional league. Before the whole internet could start mocking him, the players he'd picked up suddenly went collectively crazy.

“I want to be Yu Chenxue's dedicated ADC!”

This was the mid laner who'd won the championship in a neighboring region two years ago!

“I want to stay in the bottom lane with Yu Chenxue forever!”

This was the genius top laner who'd vanished from the scene while recovering from an injury!

“I hope Yu Chenxue will support me for the rest of my life!”

This was the jungler who had once changed the pace of matches across the entire region!

The online crowd went crazy too. No one could have imagined that this hopelessly shabby club would recruit so many world-class players. The whole internet began spreading rumors about the true identity of its owner, captain, and support, speculating about what kind of charm he possessed to stir up such a storm.

Then, a few months later, the first qualifier was over.

Everyone saw Yu Chenxue take off his cap after the match. His damp, jet-black bangs hung down over his face, and his cheeks were flushed with a vivid color as he recovered from a serious illness. The team's actual bonded ADC, a world-weary man, grabbed his wrist, his voice practically gritted through clenched teeth.

“Blocking abilities for other people again?”

“Using up the health you saved by having me protect you?”
