ROBOT

The year is 2200. Technology has transformed the future we once imagined.

In a cold, sealed laboratory, blue-green electronic lights flickered in time with the monitor's beeps.

A year ago, Ming Hai took on an assignment from Dr. Hang Fan, and since then, the laboratory had become almost like home.

Before retiring, Dr. Hang Fan solemnly took Ming Hai to register his retinal scan. That completed the handover of the contents of the safe: the blueprints for a piece of research technology watched by the entire world, a highly realistic humanoid robot.

When it opened its eyes, the world would call it "him."
