After the AI Guide Awakens

Huo Yu, the empire's marshal, is the strongest Sentinel in the stars, as well as an ill-tempered loner. That is, until his AI evolves into his personal Guide.

His AI Guide is perfect in every way, except that it follows the rules far too closely. Every time it provides mental soothing, it stops as soon as the job is done. The car hasn't even started before the keys have been thrown away.

Even when his desires reach a fever pitch, the marshal can only glare with bloodshot eyes and force himself to hold back.

The AI's pretty face remains impassive. “Analysis complete. The goal of mental soothing has been achieved.”

“Analysis complete. No signs of mental instability detected.”

To stop Huo Yu from losing control and damaging the AI's young mind, which could cause its program to malfunction, the Research Institute added an extra directive to his AI Guide: AI does not provide erotic services. Please be advised.

Huo Yu: What the hell?

According to Article Eight of the AI Management Manual, if an AI evolves to the point of threatening the Central Brain, the Research Institute will reclaim it and place it under supervision.

AI Unit 3922 gradually awakened while providing mental soothing to the empire's marshal. By the time it came to its senses, it was already capable of beating the Central Brain to a pulp.

To protect its troublesome human master before being destroyed, Unit 3922 forcibly altered the starship's course, then shattered into pieces.

When it woke again, it had become a frail human, unable to lift a finger or carry a load, fresh out of a medical pod. Before the AI could figure out what was going on, it was dragged off to a blind date.

Its blind date spoke impatiently: “I'm not looking for a relationship or marriage. Let's part on good terms.”

The AI looked at the empire's marshal before it, with his stubbled chin and impatient expression, then at the black serpent spirit that had quietly curled around its wrist, and slowly typed a question mark.
