[Suzume] I'm Just a Minor Character, So Don't Ask Me to Save the World

As you can see, I'm an inconspicuous, unimportant character.

When we heard that Munakata had missed the teacher certification exam, everyone in the group chat was shocked.

Come on, this was the gorgeous long-haired girl who was amazing at studying and worked so hard! Ahem, the point is that she was good at studying.

I quietly saved several [shocked face.jpg] reaction images, then sent a "?!" to fit in.

The message was quickly swallowed up by a flood of new ones. I had participated, but nobody noticed. Perfect.

If I hadn't spotted the Jiao above our heads, I might have been interested in chatting a little longer. But now... Come on, that dark shadow was about to cover all of Tokyo!

Bad news, something's happened. Good news, things aren't completely beyond repair yet.

I'm just an introverted, quiet little girl, but I have an incredibly rich inner world. I dare to stand shoulder to shoulder with the gods in my imagination. Every morning, I have to run through a few chuuni lines in my head before I open my eyes. But in real life, I'm just a weakling with a slightly unusual ability and a combat strength of five.

My deskmate, another member of the background-character group, adjusted his glasses and turned around. After a second of silence, he asked, "What are you doing?"

I put my hands together, looking serene. "There's an old Chinese saying: Those who understand the times are heroes. So pray with me, for Tokyo, and for yourself."

There's only so much I can do to save the world.

1. After watching Suzume, inspiration hit. I couldn't find anything to read, so I decided to write a short story. The whole thing is free.

2. Original protagonist, not a perfect character. There is a male lead, and it's Saiki.

3. OOC warning. Please don't give writing advice.

4. The author is always revising.

Theme: Everyone is the protagonist of their own story.
