The Rules for Playing a Supporting Character in a Comic

A lab subject with no name, no papers, and nothing to their name from the start.

Gu Yan: No big deal. When you're out in the world, you get to choose your own identity.

And so...

[The Collins family has no need for the innocent.]

The white-haired boy pressed [Judgment] to his chest and smiled with a hint of malice. “What if I insist on being the villain, Your Honor?”

Sensing that [Judgment] had been forcibly unsheathed, the protagonist whipped around. An explosion rang out, and the place steeped in sin collapsed in flames.

Comments: You're the only innocent one in the family. Sob!

[If he wanted, he could take my “heart” back at any time.]

The warmth faded from the golden-haired young man's eyes. “I will become his first follower and raise the banner of rebellion against District A for him.”

Faced with the Evil God's coercion, the young man gave a farewell bow fit for the end of a performance. “If someone must be sacrificed to the endless night before dawn breaks, then I would be honored.”

Comments: Why are both of you, master and servant, like this?!

After the family massacre, the surviving Duke Collins often wore a mask.

In secret, he was the God of Light's “black glove.” In public, he was the protagonist, the Saint, and his lifelong nemesis.

Comments: Aaaaaah! Collins, just die already!!

They say the puppet master, wanted throughout the realm, is a mysterious figure. He once annihilated the Collins family overnight and toyed with the nobility as if they were in the palm of his hand. No one knows what he really looks like.

Gu Yan: I'm the one who put out a warrant for my own arrest. Of course no one can catch me.

Later, the protagonist could take no more and thrust [Judgment] toward the utterly unforgivable duke.

But [Judgment] said he was innocent.

Only then did he finally understand that the puppet master who made the whole realm tremble had always been the boy who haunted his dreams at night...
