The Detective Always Suspects I'm the Culprit

This story will be locked for paid chapters on May 31. Thank you for your support. I'm a professional psychopomp. Put simply, I escort the souls of people who died unnatural deaths from the living world to hell. A while ago, a work reassignment put me in charge of escorting souls in Tokyo. Looking at Tokyo's size and population, I gave a little confident, arrogant smile. How many people could possibly die unnatural deaths in a tiny place like this? How many?! And just like that, I immediately slacked off. Then came murders for love, revenge, money, accidents, crimes of passion... One small case a day, one major case every three days. When I was so busy I felt like a spinning top, and my workload shot straight to first place in the industry, I finally realized: Was something wrong here? Wait! Why are all of you looking at me like that? I have nothing to do with the murders. I'm just here to escort the dead! Reader's Guide: 1. The story begins seven years before the main plot, when the Police Academy group are 22 and about to graduate from university. 2. No one will be saved, but the Police Academy group will appear as ghosts (except Zero). 3. The pairing is Hagi. 4. The main plot won't be covered. The story will probably end before it begins. It'll be a short story of around 300,000 words. 5. The blurb does not contain the entire story. 6. This is not written by the original author, so the characters will definitely be out of character. OOC warning! Blurb date: 2023.4.2 Theme: Persevere and strive for self-improvement
