My Dad Is the Han Dynasty's Ultimate Mary Sue

After transmigrating, Wei Xin finds himself in the reign of Emperor Wu of Han, then discovers his family is rather extraordinary:

His aunt is a songstress.

His aunt's husband is the emperor.

His stepmother is the emperor's elder sister, a princess of the realm.

His cousin will one day be honored as the Marquis of Champion.

And his father is even more impressive. Rising from slave to general, he is cherished by the emperor, while his nephew Lu Chu is loved in life and mourned in death. He could be called the number one Mary Sue of Emperor Wu's reign.

As for Wei Xin himself, he was made the Marquis of Yin'an while still an infant. Neither he nor his brothers inherited their father's military talent, and he spends his days playing with cats and dogs, showing signs of becoming a spoiled young wastrel.

One day, after the general beats his rowdy sons black and blue,

Wei Xin says, "What's so great about being a wastrel? If I'm going to be one, I'll be the number one wastrel in Chang'an!"

Wei Qing says, "Looks like you're asking for a beating!"

Later:

When the Marquis of Yin'an wrestles on horseback, the general is inspired to have saddles, double stirrups, and horseshoes made.

When the Marquis of Yin'an amuses himself by slaughtering sheep and making a wool cloak, the general orders improvements to the spinning wheel and armor, making it easier to travel light and launch swift attacks.

When the Marquis of Yin'an argues with scholars and claims he can make paper far superior to bamboo slips, the general orders them to follow his method, and white paper is created.

When the Marquis of Yin'an sets off fireworks and burns down his estate, the general is inspired to have black powder made, blowing up a heap of Xiongnu.

Later:

The general asks, "What stupid (wonderful) thing has that brat done today?"

His aide replies, "The Marquis of Yin'an plans to build a ship and sail off on a long voyage!"

1. A male-lead novel about developing infrastructure.
