Conan: A Chuunibyou Girl and Her Compatibility with the Police

Back when Inspector Megure was still an assistant inspector, several rookies joined the First Investigative Division under his command. They were enthusiastic about their work and sincere toward others.

Their methods were a little unusual, though the strangest of them all was Inoue Hikaru.

Megure thought they were all promising young people. As long as they had good hearts and sound values, everything could be worked out.

But he'd underestimated them, especially Inoue Hikaru.

The first time Megure took everyone to inspect a crime scene, he noticed a rookie carrying a sword at his waist.

"Inoue, what are you doing? You don't need a sword at a crime scene!"

Inoue scratched his head. "But... we always needed one on patrol before."

Megure nearly fainted. When had he ever said they needed that thing on patrol?

Megure led his team to rescue hostages. Inoue swaggered right up to the criminal and slashed at him, knocking out the hostage too.

Inoue: "Secret technique: Wind Scar!"

Megure roared, "Inoue!!!"

Inoue's old team was the Shinsengumi. Now, somehow, he'd ended up at this lousy place called the Beika Police Station. They were both police stations, so why were there so many rules here? Wouldn't it be better to have a little freedom?

Inoue: "Zero, do you know that wildly popular detective anime where the protagonist says, 'There is only one truth'?"

Zero: "I don't. Sounds cool, though."

Inoue: "Yeah, my favorite character is that long-haired guy in the fedora from the FBI. He's so cool, going toe-to-toe with the Japanese Public Security Bureau!"

Zero: "Oh. You like the FBI?"

Inoue: "Huh? Yeah."

Zero: "Well... that's no good. Nothing will come of liking him. He's two-timing you."

Inoue: "!!!!"
