[Attack on Titan AOT] Our Broken Selves

From birth to death, people are always losing things.

The bread we eat, the clothes we wear out. Those things are easy enough to replace, so much so that we've forgotten what it really feels like to lose something.

"People don't usually feel this way. How can I put it? When a family member or friend, someone really important to you, suddenly disappears from your life, especially when they've been part of most of your life up to that point, their departure feels like a piece of you has been torn away. It's all the time they spent with you and everything they gave you. But now that they've died, everything connected to them has been crushed to pieces."

"I feel like I'm missing a corner."

Once we've lost something, we can never return to being whole as we were before.

That's why we have to find another incomplete version of ourselves somewhere in the world.

>>> Reader's guide

1. I started writing on a whim, and as usual, I have no outline or chapters in reserve.

2. I haven't finished the manga or anime yet, so beware of out-of-character portrayals.

3. My writing is long-winded. The plot should make sense, but if it doesn't, pretend I didn't say that.

4. The heroine has a massive main-character halo. If the story gets Mary Sue-ish, it's because I like it that way.

5. The male lead is listed among the supporting characters. Only these characters have romantic storylines, and the ending will branch into different routes.

6. If you don't like this story, I suggest you run now. Don't put yourself through it.

7. If you're okay with all of the above, then happy reading, cuties!
