I'll Die If I Don't Kiss My Archrival

Qi Yu, the Imperial Tutor, holds power over the realm.

Yan Zhui, a ruthless tyrant, wild and untamable.

They are sworn enemies, locked in a fight to the death.

In the tyrant's eyes, Qi Yu is vain, treacherous, and an eyesore at every turn. He dreams of strangling him with his own hands.

Qi Yu finds Yan Zhui just as repulsive. He mocks him as thin-skinned, utterly hypocritical, and impossible to stomach. One glance at him is enough to make Qi Yu want to throw up.

Until the two of them are struck by a Lover's Gu.

Fourth Month, Twenty-Seventh Day. An entry in the Shengyuan Records:

For unknown reasons, the young emperor and the Imperial Tutor got into a vicious fight in the bedchamber.

Witnesses saw the Imperial Tutor kick the door open with a sword in hand, wearing a night robe, his hair loose, his face twisted as he hacked at anyone in sight.

The tyrant was bare-chested and powerfully built, streaks of blood marking his back. His rough fingers tightened around the Imperial Tutor's neck, inch by inch. His eyes were bloodshot, his hatred boundless.

At first, the Lover's Gu strikes once every seven days. After being poisoned, the two must keep having sex until the poison's effects temporarily subside.

The more often they have sex, the more frequently it strikes, until they are consumed by desire and fall deeply in love with each other.

·

What could be more despairing than death?

Being in bed with your sworn enemy.

And having to grit your teeth, keep it secret from everyone, and go on doing it more and more often!

·

Before even half a year has passed, Qi Yu hears that a divine physician has appeared. Supporting his nearly broken back, he rushes to find him.

The physician stammers, "But the poison only lasts a little over a month..."

Qi Yu freezes on the spot.

The young tyrant behind him withdraws the hand he'd instinctively raised to support Qi Yu. The tips of his ears turn red, and his gaze wanders.

Ahem...
