Bureau of Paranormal Investigations

Xu Shi, a community police officer in Xinan District, Jiangbei City, was handling a civil dispute when a resident who had gone mad accidentally splashed her head to toe with dog blood. Ever since then, she's been able to see things no one else can...

An old woman burning paper offerings at an intersection at night...

Figures crowding the last bus on Route 11...

Strange-looking patients in the hospital corridors...

Even when she wakes suddenly from a dream, Xu Shi can see figures drifting outside her window...

Before long, she's transferred to a special agency directly under the authorities: the Bureau of Paranormal Affairs. And so, a door to a whole new world opens before her.

Her fate star is dim, misfortune coils around her, Xu Shi's soul is intertwined with that of a vengeful ghost in red, and no one knows where the six parts of her soul have gone...

She also meets all kinds of strange people while carrying out her assignments. They seem to be looking through her at someone else.

The evil spirit sealed in an ancient tomb seems to know her...

Strange practitioners who walk between the worlds of yin and yang repeatedly give her ferocious looks...

The underworld's officials and ghost messengers treat her with the utmost respect...

Even the King of Hell in the Fifth Palace calls her Big Sister...

As her six lost soul fragments are gradually recovered, one memory after another slowly returns...
