Transmigrating into a Crime Profiler in the Nineties

*(Set in a world where same-sex marriage is legal.)*

Zhang Yuanye was a senior superintendent in the Jing City Criminal Investigation Division. She had studied overseas and was a nationally renowned criminal profiler.

During an operation, Zhang Yuanye died suddenly from exhaustion after staying up all night. When she woke up, she had become a rookie detective in a small fifth-tier city in the 1990s.

The original owner of the body was a hopeless romantic. To pursue her white moonlight, Gu Mengyan, she had pulled strings through countless connections just to get into the police station's criminal investigation division. But only a few days after starting, she nearly got kicked out.

While everyone at the station gossiped, waiting to see Zhang Yuanye shown the door, she went on to solve one major case after another.

What? The child trafficking case was solved in just three days?

The serial murder case that had the whole station tearing its hair out was solved just like that?

What? The missing persons case was solved too?

Wait, Zhang Yuanye solved all of these cases?

Blurb Two:

As captain of the Yangcheng Criminal Investigation Team, Qin MoyI had countless responsibilities to handle every day. Recently, another person had been assigned to her team, and Qin MoyI was quite unhappy about it, though she didn't say anything.

She had thought that as long as the new hopeless romantic kept out of trouble at the station, that would be good enough. She never expected that in case after case, Zhang Yuanye's criminal profiles would prove crucial to solving them.

Short scene:

Qin MoyI: Are you free tonight?

Zhang Yuanye: I am, Captain Qin. Do you want to discuss the details of a case together?

Qin MoyI (unamused.jpg): I want to talk about your personal life. How about you stop liking Gu Mengyan and give me a chance instead?

Zhang Yuanye: ???
