The Undercover Couple Is Still Sweet Today [Detective Conan]

Short story / irregular updates

Amuro, a waiter at Cafe Poirot, runs into Yuka Sasabe, a Japanese language teacher at Teitan Elementary School. They fall in love at first sight and get married right away.

Their marriage draws objections from their friends and family before it has even begun.

Do you really know him (her)?

Amuro: She's exactly my type, she's a gentle elementary school teacher with a lovely voice, and she's often a little absent-minded, but so cute.

Yuka Sasabe: I don't even need to mention his looks, he's completely my type. And he can cook! Most importantly, he's always busy.

Both: No one could be more suited to me.

Their feelings are mutual, so they get married in a flash, just as you'd expect.

They're deeply in love, completely devoted to each other, until one day something unexpected happens.

His sweet, gentle wife, who's scared of even a cockroach, picks up an RPG launcher and blows up a building.

Her gentlemanly, family-oriented husband, who always puts her first, gets behind the wheel of a sports car and tries to smash into a train.

It turns out they're both members of the same Black Organization.

Well... this is awkward. They married a coworker.

At least they're coworkers, not enemies. To keep the other from discovering their secret identities, they start putting on an acting show for each other.

Amuro: You're here to blow up a building too?

Yuka Sasabe: You are too?

But the bombing fails, and someone has been sabotaging them.

They look at each other, too awkward to say a word.

After their identities are exposed:

Amuro introduces himself to his wife again: "Hello, I'm a police officer with Public Security."

Yuka Sasabe: Hello, I'm with the FBI.

Theme: Marriage eventually settles into routine, but as long as two people truly love each other, they can stay together for the long haul.
