The Nine Songs of the Heavens: I See You Like a Hibiscus

A note from the author: This is the first full-length story I've finished, and every chapter is over three thousand words. (Hands on hips, happy and proud.)

Here's the thing: I originally wanted to write about my favorite pairing, but I really wanted to read a story where they got a happy ending as supporting characters, so I created an original character instead. (Qaq, maybe it's a special interest.)

The first half is a crossover with Tian Jiu, and the second half with Qin Shi. Updates every morning at nine.

Here's a rough blurb:

The Zhou royal house declined, the feudal states rose, and seven kingdoms stood across the Central Plains.

Though Han was the weakest of the seven kingdoms, its strategic location and thriving commerce made its capital, Xinzheng, a coveted destination for the wealthy young nobles of all seven states. On the day of King Han's birthday banquet, the Son of Heaven and all seven kingdoms sent princes to offer their congratulations.

The hall was awash in luxury. Bai Shao swirled the rainbow-colored glass cup in her hand, entranced by the grand dance before her.

At the time, she had no idea that in just a few short years, she would lose her country.

Here's the romance version of the blurb:

I'm too lazy to write it. Basically, Bai Shao is Han Yu's innocent, guileless younger sister. One day, she meets a man wearing a black feather on his clothes, and falls in love at first sight the second time they meet. And so begins a half-life of romantic tension.

But this man is doomed to die. So Bai Shao goes to save him and confesses her feelings. Along the way, she also grows as a person.

In the end, they get their happy ending.

Please note: This is fundamentally a romance with a female lead, and the characters may be out of character! Let me emphasize, there will be out-of-character portrayals! It includes an original character, Han Wudong. Little of the original plot is included.

Theme: Love is what makes all of this exist.
