Absurd Game

Lu Jinglan had always imagined that the world was one gigantic game arena.

One day, he received a mysterious invitation.

[Dear Mr. Lu, would you be willing to wager your life on a fascinating game?]

In the arena, Lu Jinglan climbed from the bottom of the rankings into the top ten, relying on a pretty, harmless-looking face and an utterly shameless way of doing things.

He had countless haters who accused him of chasing attention and having nothing going for him besides his looks.

Lu Jinglan smiled politely and replied, "Oh, don't embarrass me. I'm only pretty average-looking."

Rumor had it that Ling Shu, the arena's number-one player, couldn't stand Lu Jinglan's showy behavior and had vowed to teach him a lesson.

During an outdoor game, Lu Jinglan and Ling Shu both appeared. Everyone waited to see how the great Ling would deal with this arrogant newcomer. Instead, they saw Ling Shu crouched beside a tree, plucking the petals off a poor little pink flower.

"Jinglan's angry, Jinglan's not angry, Jinglan's angry..."

Everyone: "???" They seemed to have discovered something incredible.
