The Center-Stage Star Just Wants to Clock Out and Go Home

Shi Zhanzhi was transported into an idol survival-show novel, where he became a pitiful supporting character who was just shy of making the debut lineup. Watching the contestants around him cry and plead for fame and a place in the debut group, Shi Zhanzhi's veins throbbed. He was just a hardcore gamer and shut-in. Why debut? Was it better than a good night's sleep or playing games? While everyone else stayed up practicing dance, he played Gobang against himself. While everyone else did interviews and livestreams, he chatted with the cafeteria aunties. At the first public performance, his groupmates bubbled with energy and asked for votes. Shi Zhanzhi put on an exhausted face. "I'm just here to fill a spot." The audience: "Man, you've got my attention." And so, a guy who just wanted to go home and be a couch potato was relentlessly voted for by the rebellious audience, climbing straight toward center position. In a camera-free corner, with nowhere else to turn, Shi Zhanzhi decided to use public opinion to his advantage. He secretly sought out Ji Linrui, the center who did nothing but smile all day. "Help me out, bro." Ji Linrui raised an eyebrow. "How?" "Let me punch you." In front of the cameras, Shi Zhanzhi swung his fist, but Ji Linrui met it with his lips. Shi Zhanzhi: "Are you okay in the head?!" The audience: "Ruirui has a ship! Sisters, let's get Ruirui and his wife to debut together!!!" Reading Guide: 1. An unconventional idol survival story 2.
