The Stand-In Bottom Has Awakened

Yan Heqing awakens.

One second before signing a contract to be someone's stand-in.

It turns out he's a sacrificial stand-in character in a novel.

In the story, he spends three years as Lu Muchi's stand-in for the love of his life.

Lu Muchi's lover slaps him while nestled in Lu Muchi's arms. Lu Muchi sends him to seduce a rival, where he's nearly assaulted. Lu Muchi chokes him, nearly killing him.

And yet he keeps fawning over Lu Muchi, willingly loving him to the bone.

In the end, he even volunteers to donate his eyes so Lu Muchi's beloved, his twin brother, can see again.

He and his twin brother were abandoned as children and sent to an orphanage. Yan Heqing gave up the chance to be adopted by a wealthy family so his brother could have it. His brother became a pampered young master, doted on by everyone.

Yan Heqing was adopted by a couple who couldn't have children. After a year of what was more or less a warm home, his adoptive parents miraculously had a son of their own, and Yan Heqing's life plunged into hell.

Meeting Lu Muchi made him a butcher's victim, too. Lu Muchi couldn't have Yan Heqing's brother, so he took Yan Heqing as a substitute.

His adoptive parents saw the money and happily sold him to Lu Muchi.

After being abused by Lu Muchi both mentally and physically, Yan Heqing developed Stockholm syndrome and fell in love with him.

In the end, he gives up the last thing he has left, his eyes, for his brother, the novel's protagonist. Then he saves another protagonist, Lu Muchi, and gets hit by a car. His life ends at twenty-one.

Little skit:

Lu Muchi loves Yan Heqing so much he can't control himself. He carefully plans a proposal, but then hears Yan Heqing is getting married. He gets drunk in a fit of madness and goes to bang on Yan Heqing's door in the middle of the night.

The door opens. Lu Muchi sobers up in fright when he sees who's standing there. “Uncle?! Why are you here?”

Lu Lin, wearing a bathrobe, parts his thin lips and says two words: “Having an affair.”

The business world says Lu Lin, the head of the Lu family, stands high above everyone else, an untouchable ruler at the very top.

Until one day, Yan Heqing drags him brutally down from his pedestal.
