A Match in Their Medical Records

Chi Yuran loved Fu Jingyang so much. He was good at making glass spheres with specimens inside. He thought that if only Fu Jingyang could be like those little animals and plants, sealed forever inside one of his glass spheres. Later, he really did hide Fu Jingyang away. But in the last second before they were both about to leave this world, Chi Yuran still broke the glass with his own hands and let Fu Jingyang go. As he closed his eyes, Chi Yuran thought, I really do love Fu Jingyang so much. * Fu Jingyang hated Chi Yuran, who was like a long, dreary plum-rain season, a sickness that devoured him in damp, dark misery. And yet he was also like a fire, arriving without warning and leaving without hesitation, leaving Fu Jingyang alone to rot among the ashes. After that day, Fu Jingyang became sick, too. Even more so than Chi Yuran had been. * Four years later, Fu Jingyang saw the man who had died in a sea of flames at a wedding. The man was even more beautiful now. He walked past Fu Jingyang and up to the stage, took the bride's hand, and smiled at her. Four years ago, that smile had belonged to him alone. Now, it was for everyone except him. Chi Yuran had forgotten him. After being forced into a dim little room yet again, Chi Yuran demanded in annoyance, "Mr. Fu, what exactly are you trying to do?" "Be the other man." The bottom locks the top up. Read with caution. 2. Chi Yuran is utterly devoted, and there's genuinely something wrong with him. Read with caution. 3. Fu Jingyang doesn't love him at first, and is even homophobic. A classic story of a straight man being turned gay. Read with caution. Free to read during serialization.
