I wrote this for a Harry Potter forum writing contest in 2016, but I've completely forgotten the prompt. My track record with abandoned projects is the problem: I kept putting off the contest until it ended, then ran off after posting an outline, so the level of completion is... quite something. I suddenly remembered this story the other day and went back to look. I found that most of it had been swallowed up, so I'm posting it here just for the sake of it.
It's roughly about a girl who grew up in Muggle society and one day suddenly discovers she is a witch. From then on, she tries to explain magic through science.
Theme: A spirit of exploration and personal growth.
