After Taking the Amnesiac Demon Lord as a Cultivation Target

Xue Xue's mother was the Holy Maiden of the Hehuan Sect, a woman whose entanglements of love and hate had drawn in powerful figures across the cultivation world.

After the Holy Maiden passed away, everyone in the Hehuan Sect pinned their hopes on Xue Xue, expecting her to take her mother's place.

But Xue Xue was a hopeless admirer of good looks and couldn't bring herself to fancy a single disciple of the sect. Her cultivation progressed at a snail's pace.

Under immense pressure, Xue Xue decided to take her senior sister's advice and go down the mountain to find someone to practice the secret art with.

-

One day after leaving the mountain, Xue Xue came across the perfect cultivation partner, someone who met every last one of her aesthetic preferences.

Her cultivation partner was called Qin Zhi.

With cool, clear features, red lips, and an aloof gaze, she was as otherworldly as a divine flower atop a snowy peak.

Best of all, she had lost her memory, and her heart was as pure as a blank sheet of paper.

Xue Xue was overjoyed and immediately coaxed her into practicing the secret art together.

-

On a red couch beneath green gauze, the palace bells at the eaves rang without pause.

Qin Zhi asked, perplexed, “Why must we do this?”

Leaning against her, Xue Xue panted softly, the corners of her eyes tinged with peach-blossom red. In a sweet, languid voice, she said, “A Zhi, you're helping me heal.”

Qin Zhi understood. Her ink-dark eyes were as deep as the sea as she said hoarsely, “Then let's do it a few more times.”

Xue Xue: “...”

-

On the day her cultivation reached perfection, Xue Xue happily left Qin Zhi a generous parting gift, dusted off her hands, and returned to the Hehuan Sect for its tournament.

Just as she stepped onto the dueling platform, full of bold ambition, a clap of thunder suddenly sounded in the sky.

A black dragon tore through the firmament and transformed into a slender figure, landing opposite Xue Xue.

With eyes like hooked blades and a faint, teasing smile, she said:

“Qin Zhi of the Demon Realm. I await your instruction.”
