I Traveled Back to When the Consul's Wife Was Down on Her Luck

Also known as The Chief Executive's White Moonlight Turns Out to Be Me Ye Zheng and Shen Jingchu have been married for seven years. They've treated each other with icy courtesy and exchanged fewer than ten words. Ye Zheng is the youngest major general in the Empire, while Shen Jingchu is the youngest chief executive in the cabinet. They belong to opposing factions and are bitterly at odds politically. Their marriage was purely an alliance, forced upon them by circumstance. They can't stand the sight of each other. Ye Zheng even once declared in public, when talking about Shen Jingchu, "If I could go back in time, I'd personally cut off his political career before he had a chance to rise." Then he really did transmigrate. He didn't transmigrate outright. Instead, it happened every night. By day, he was the Empire's major general and Shen Jingchu's husband. Every night, he transmigrated into the body of a useless rich second-generation brat who bullied men and oppressed women on a frontier planet. And on that planet was a lower-class citizen named Shen Jingchu. Ye Zheng: "I'll use this opportunity to stop him from studying or joining the cabinet, cutting off this major threat once and for all." But when he met Shen Jingchu, the young chief executive was working as a waiter at a banquet. A guest poured a drink right over his head. The liquor ran down his pale cheeks and dripped onto his washed-out shirt. Bruises covered his collarbones and back, and chilblains were plainly visible on the backs of his hands. At that point, he wasn't even allowed to study. * Ye Zheng changed his mind. He would use his nightly transmigrations to win the chief executive over, look after him, soften him up, and try to draw him into his own faction. His efforts worked remarkably well. The aloof beauty grew more and more gentle, even leaning against him to sleep and following his advice to the letter. But the little chief executive at night was one thing. Why had the towering iceberg of a chief executive at home, during the day, suddenly melted too? *Apologies for changing the premise. I just couldn't find any inspiration for the original one. If it doesn't interest you, maybe we'll meet again in another story~ *The two timelines progress together. The top will keep transmigrating between the past and the present. Theme: Enjoy life
