The Passionate Commandery Princess

In late spring of the eleventh year of the Tianxi era, the Prince of Yunnan sends his eldest daughter, Jiang Heng, to the capital to marry one of the princes.

The young lady of the commandery is gentle, kind, and soft-spoken, but in poor health. She coughs after every few steps, seems frail enough to blow away, and silently endures every slight.

That autumn, the emperor takes his entourage hunting on Mount Jun. They are ambushed on the way and separated from the others. Only Jiang Heng remains with him.

The emperor has an old injury and shouldn't fight, but when the assassins approach, he firmly shields the young lady behind him.

Just as the assassins close in and their prospects look grim, the delicate young lady behind him suddenly draws her sword and charges into the fray, cutting down several men.

The assassins are stunned and hurry to ask her name. She raises her chin and shouts, "I'm your daddy!"

The emperor: "..."

When the others finally find them, the young lady shoves the still-dripping sword into his hands, then hides behind him again, looking pitiful and on the verge of tears, as if she can't bear the sight of blood.

The emperor: "..."
