My Husband Is So Frail He Can't Take Care of Himself

This Sunday, the novel goes premium. There will be three updates that day. Thank you all for your support, mwah! The male lead of Asking the Dao of the Ninth Heaven is a slave of humble birth. He and a pretty boy are bought by a flirtatious female cannon-fodder named Qiao Wanyue. The female cannon fodder repeatedly tries to cultivate with him, but fortunately, the male lead is eventually saved by the real heroine. He joins Tianchen Sect, the greatest sect in the cultivation world, and becomes a powerful figure who commands respect across the land. Meanwhile, the female cannon fodder is retaliated against by the male lead's followers and meets a truly miserable end. That's the ideal plot of Asking the Dao of the Ninth Heaven. In reality, though, the female cannon fodder Qiao Wanyue has a screw loose and refuses to follow the script. Between the tall, mighty, imposing, upright male lead and the pretty boy, she chooses the fresh-faced, sweet-talkin' pretty boy instead. The pretty boy can be a gentleman in public, cook in the kitchen, outmaneuver Old Wang, and take on cockroaches. Qiao Wanyue says, "Pretty boys are the best!" Until one day, her pretty-boy husband is captured by his enemies. Qiao Wanyue travels a thousand miles to rescue him, venturing deep into enemy territory. Only to find her pretty-boy husband sweeping three mountain peaks flat with a single sword strike. The powerful cultivators of the cultivation world are huddled to one side, clutching their little magical artifacts and trembling. Qiao Wanyue: Whoa! Help me up, I can still go wild! The disciples of Tianchen Sect receive a mission to find their Patriarch, who has left the sect. They travel over mountains and cross rivers, braving every obstacle until they finally discover the Patriarch's whereabouts. But the Patriarch, who is said to be powerful enough to shake the entire cultivation world on his own, is holding a woman's arm and speaking in a coy, tea-scented voice: "Young Master Qin is really amazing. I never knew there were so many brothels in the city." It may not be my next novel, though. A gentle, delicate, and virtuous lady of the house swaps bodies with a short-tempered emperor who takes out entire families at the slightest provocation. Meng Fu, as the wife of the Marquis of Xuanping, runs his household, honors his parents, and manages his concubines, who are constantly fighting for his favor. She has done everything expected of a marquis's wife, yet her husband has never favored her. Meng Fu doesn't love the Marquis of Xuanping, and she isn't heartbroken. She expects to live out her life as calmly as still water, until one day she opens her eyes and the old eunuch sitting by her bed calls her Your Majesty. The palace servants and court officials think their emperor has changed. He used to curse them until their heads hurt, but now he's as gentle as a spring breeze and even asks if they're hungry or thirsty. I can do this! I can serve His Majesty for another hundred years! The Marquis of Xuanping thinks his wife has changed. She used to be virtuous, gracious, and gentle. Now she's like a firecracker, ready to explode. Yesterday she shouted his favorite concubine to tears; today she kicked him into a lake. Household battle? I'll tear your whole house down! When the Marquis of Xuanping divorces Meng Fu, he declares that she'll regret it one day. Which noble family in the capital would marry a woman who's already been married? I will. Theme: Don't lose heart or complain in adversity. Strive hard, face life with optimism, and become a better version of yourself.
