[Marriage Before Love]
Back in high school, Meng Chun was admired by countless boys, and Jiang Huaixu was no exception.
Among the stack of love letters Meng Chun received, one was from Jiang Huaixu. While the others wrote hundreds of words, he wrote just one sentence: Meng Chun, my name is Jiang Huaixu.
At their graduation dinner, Meng Chun said, "My mom had someone tell my fortune. They said that when I find a boyfriend, he should be sunny and cheerful, someone who can go wild with me. If I end up with a taciturn guy, I'll suffer all my life. I can't handle hardship."
The taciturn Jiang Huaixu heard her out and asked, "You believe in that stuff?"
Meng Chun said, "Better safe than sorry. Of course I do!"
As adults, Meng Chun's family pressures her into going on a blind date. Her match turns out to be the old classmate she once rejected.
Her old classmate asks, "What made you agree to a blind date?"
"My mom says this is a lucky year for me to get married, and that my marriage will be long and stable. If I don't get married, I'll face a huge disaster."
"And do you believe that?" Jiang Huaixu asks, looking at her.
"Me? Of course not! That's ridiculous."
The man smiles and falls silent.
