Mountain girl x city boy
In their final year of high school, a group of volunteer teachers and a transfer student arrived at Waping Middle School.
The new student became Shiyao's neighbor. Someone kindly warned her, "That young master from the big city is a rebellious rich kid. Don't get involved with him, and whatever you do, don't fall for him. It won't work out."
Shiyao only took in the first sentence.
When the college entrance exams were over, the volunteer teachers returned home, and Chen Yuqing was leaving too.
Everyone went to see him off. Shiyao was the only one missing.
He asked someone to leave a letter for the girl: "No matter where you get into, please let me know. I'm willing to support you so you can keep going and make your way out."
In the tenth year of her liking Chen Yuqing, he got engaged.
That year, she went alone to Xichuan to teach as a volunteer. She never expected her new colleague to be Chen Yuqing.
Not long after, the man stared at her familiar name, deep in thought. "Have we met before?"
She didn't even look at him. Her voice was cold. "We have the same name."
There wasn't the slightest trace of her younger self in her, and her registered hometown was blank. Her current residence was Jingnan City, so he genuinely believed they just shared a name.
After recognizing Shiyao, he chased her to her dorm in the middle of the night. "You're pretending not to know me? Am I really that unpleasant?"
She answered from behind the door, "Yes. I hate blind men, and I hate talking to men who are taken even more."
"Who told you I'm taken?"
"You're engaged. Stop pretending."
"That was all my mom's wishful thinking. If I wanted to get married, would I have come all the way here?"
No matter how he explained, Shiyao refused to open the door.
He sat outside it and sighed, feeling deeply wronged. "You're the blind one. You've been blind since you were a kid."
