This NPC Is Not a Dumb Sweetheart [Full-Dive]

Chi You was an all-purpose support NPC in the phenomenal full-immersion game Illusion Realm. He could heal, control the battlefield, shield allies, and boost damage. No matter how many updates the game went through, he always ranked at the very top for both strength and looks. He was hailed as the game company's favorite child.

One day, all the NPCs were under maintenance, so Chi You filled in as a guide for new players. He hurriedly learned hundreds of little skills from different races, and, naturally... got them mixed up.

Chi You demonstrated skills and combos for the new player.

"Isn't that another race's skill?" the newcomer asked hesitantly. He even carefully pulled up his tutorial notes to show Chi You. "And I think that combo is wrong, too."

Chi You: ...So much for his good reputation.

Chi You fled the starting area in the middle of the night, only to get tangled up with that powerful newbie, who had a serious case of baby-bird syndrome.

Newbie: Want to do quests together? I learned a new skill. Just stay behind me.

Newbie: I can gather herbs for you. There's a steep slope, so don't hurt yourself falling like I did.

Newbie: The instance has been updated. I just looked up a guide. Want me to take you through it?

Other players begged and pleaded for Chi You to help them clear instances. The newbie went to great lengths to secure his help, only to make him a little tagalong on auto-follow.

Chi You couldn't figure it out. The powerful newbie said, "This world is dangerous. You're kind-hearted and innocent, and you don't know how to do anything. I'm afraid people will bully you."

Chi You, labeled a delicate flower, smiled. How could he make the newbie understand that he was really strong?

Le Zhengqi fell in love with a character from a game.

The character wasn't very powerful and lived in a world full of dangers.

He was afraid that if he stayed away too long, the character might disappear in the blink of an eye.

Unable to bring himself to leave, but unable to let go of his feelings either, Le Zhengqi agonized over it for a long time before finally confessing to the one he loved.

Then the chairman of the game company showed up at his door. "I hear you like my son?"

Le Zhengqi: …

Wait, he's really your son!?
