Zhou Yan transmigrates into a world she knows nothing about.
She becomes a notorious black witch, banished to the borderlands, guilty of every imaginable evil, and number one on the most-wanted lists of every city-state.
Zhou Yan, who had always been a model student: There's no clearing my name. This is truly impossible to wash clean...
The borderlands are shrouded in darkness day and night. Whispers, phantoms, and indescribable horrors pose no problem for Zhou Yan. The problem is that she doesn't want to live like a nonhuman!
So the black witch most feared by the city-states, a being who had become "nonhuman" hundreds of years ago, slips into a city-state.
Zhou Yan's exploits in the city-state include:
1. Opening an incredibly popular potion shop right under the noses of the knights and inquisitors. It's a total rip-off, though.
2. Becoming a lecturer at the Federal University through a series of mishaps, despite having nothing in her head. Her utter nonsense is still treated as gospel by her students.
3. Reforming a cult that worships her as its chief deity. What a joke! No wonder her head buzzes every night when she tries to sleep.
And so on...
Zhou Yan is living the good life in the city-state. If only she could ignore the knight captain who spends all day beside her, purifying her eight hundred times over; the cold, inscrutable inquisitor who is always watching her in secret; and the associate professor who is so obsessed with researching potions that he keeps trying to recruit her for his project, everything would be perfect. Even the false sun hanging in the sky is starting to look a lot more pleasant to Zhou Yan.
It's just that she's still sensed the existence harboring malice toward her. Perhaps it's in the darkness that flourishes in the sunlight, or perhaps it's in the bubbles of the sea. The watchful eyes fixed on her from the corners are all full of suspicion and probing. Even the false sun's rays are a little too glaring...
Ah, but she really is a good person!

Zhou Yan has never felt that she belongs in this world. She has always treated it as a bizarre, fantastical adventure, just a dream that she would one day wake from.
By the time Zhou Yan realizes she has begun to love this world, the gods are fighting over their divine powers. She only wants to pass through their world, but she still gets swept into the vortex.
Being caught up in the gods' disputes is indeed a serious matter. Zhou Yan has always faced the towering waves of fate head-on, without the slightest fear.
So the witch decides to get a good night's sleep first, then think about what to have for breakfast tomorrow.
Eat well and sleep well, and you'll have the strength to face your troubles!
PS: Cthulhu + mild horror. A feel-good fantasy adventure about the heroine. If you like this premise too, please add it to your collection. Readers' collections and comments are my greatest motivation!
