[Prince of Tennis] Our Best Selves

Blurb One:

On the first day of elementary school, Irie Kanata met Tanejima Shuji, who talked him into learning tennis.

Irie Kanata loved acting most, and music was his forte. If he had never met this friend, he probably would never have gotten into tennis, let alone kept playing.

But in reality, from elementary school through high school, he never joined a drama club or music group. For all three years of middle school, he stayed fixed in the position of vice captain of the tennis club, striving to help Rikkai Dai maintain its Kanto championship streak.

Irie Kanata rarely gave his all for anything other than acting, but he did it for Rikkai Dai's Kanto championship streak and the National Tournament.

There were many reasons, but his one personal motive was probably that the person who had invited him to win the championship for Rikkai Dai had always wanted to win the National Tournament.

Blurb Two:

Tanejima Shuji has always been far too carefree. The thing he stuck with the longest was tennis, and the thing he never regretted doing was dragging Irie Kanata into playing tennis with him.

They played tennis together from elementary school through middle school and high school. They practiced and improved together in elementary school, became the tennis club's captain and vice captain in middle school, and then became teammates in high school.

Tanejima Shuji truly loves tennis, but the person who has always been by his side is just as important.

Of course, that's a secret.

OOC warning, lots of original worldbuilding, amateur writing.
