"Those who chase whales must see themselves in the instant a whale leaps."

The summer after his eighteenth-birthday entrance exams, Shen Jing did something big.

He grabbed a chair at home and beat his biological father until his head was bleeding.

Then he decided to accompany his grandmother back to China to visit an old friend she'd known for many years, hoping to clear his head.

As it happened, the old friend's family had a boy his age.

They climbed a mountain to watch the sunrise, camped in the countryside, and went to the beach to walk on the sand and feel the wind.

A young man's feelings lay hidden on a stretch of shore, smoothed flat by the waves.

"Can a whale choose not to be with another whale in the end?"

"Could you... be with me?"

I'll Spend All Your Money

Everyone knew

that Lin Zhaosong was a miser.

But by the time Song Guanqi found out,

he was already used to spending Lin Zhaosong's money.

When he was three,

Lin Zhaosong moved into the staff housing complex with his parents.

The lady next door handed him a candied hawthorn skewer.

Just as he took his first bite,

he heard the adults say, "Oh no! I gave you the wrong one!"

And so,

while Lin Zhaosong was still a clueless little kid,

he had already promised to spend 99 yuan of every 100 yuan he had on Song Guanqi.
