Star Calendar, Year 343, Month 31, Day 24
This is my third year since transmigrating to the insect planet. I'm an insect queen, and my job is to ensure the continuation of my species, even though I used to be a perfectly ordinary straight man.
They won't let me leave the palace. My movements are limited to its grounds, but I can summon male insects every day. This will go on until I bear offspring for my species, and only then will I be free.
Fortunately, I have a fiance. I've only seen him once, at our engagement ceremony. But here's the problem: I have face blindness, damn it, and can't tell anyone apart.
My butler is tall and slender, patient with me, and has a very handsome pair of hands. I think he might be my husband. I asked him to hold me, but he refused, saying that looking after me was simply his duty and that I shouldn't read too much into it.
The prime minister came to see me. Broad-shouldered and long-legged, wearing a cloak, he looked pretty handsome. I figured he must be my husband. I took his hand and gazed into his eyes, but he said I was an ungrateful insect queen who didn't know my place.
The knight commander gave his report. His golden armor glittered, and I felt he must be my husband. I asked him to come closer and patted his head. He slapped my hand away and left without a word.
Sniff, that hurt. I held my wounded little heart and was about to make a break for freedom when the general, back from the battlefield, appeared before me with a grim expression.
His black hair was just my type. I hugged him and asked, "Are you my husband?" He looked like he wanted to kill me, then dragged me into the bedroom.
Oh, so he's the real husband.
But what I didn't expect was that even after I got pregnant, my butler, the prime minister, and the knight commander still came to see me, looking full of regret and asking me to call off the engagement.
I won't tell them that I won't call it off. I'll have the baby, then leave this twisted world and go far away.
