The bus creep who had been harassing Xia Zhi was finally taken to the police station by a group of boys working together. Her nightmare was over at last.

She had always been grateful to those boys for standing up for her.

Years later, Xia Zhi ran into one of them and finally had a chance to thank him.

The boy scratched his head and said, "Actually… Fu Qing was the one who got us involved. When he found out you were being harassed, he followed that guy for days before finally catching him. But he was afraid you'd find out it was him, so he told us not to let it slip."

"So he didn't even get the commendation the Education Bureau announced afterward. What a shame. Our city gives extra points for acts of bravery. If he'd gotten those points, he could've gone to the same university as you."

Of course Xia Zhi remembered Fu Qing. He was so sunny, and lots of girls would bring him water when he came off the basketball court.

As he drank, his Adam's apple bobbed slightly, and he seemed to carry the warmth of summer sunlight.

No one knew that Xia Zhi had written his name on her scratch paper countless times.

"Where is Fu Qing now? I want to see him."

"He's already…"

The boy hesitated for a long time, then suddenly said, "He's happy now, and he hopes you are too."
