A Plan to Save Struggling Master's and Doctoral Students

Lin Shutong failed her graduate school entrance exams and was transferred into the major of Metaphysics and Applied Metaphysics.

After enrolling, she discovered that her department had no achievements in metaphysics at all. Just as she was worrying about her research progress, her advisor and senior fellow students in the department built an applied instrument: a Metaphysics Science Laptop.

Her advisor found a spare moment amid a busy schedule. “Xiao Lin, this Metaphysics Science Laptop is our group's research achievement. You just need to upload a paper, and it can help make the scientific results described in it real. Just gather some practical data for us.”

Xiao Lin nodded obediently. “All right, Professor. Can it realize every research result?”

“...” Her advisor was speechless. “Of course not. Go try it first.”

Although Xiao Lin was completely baffled, if a small metaphysics department really had such a miraculous project, would they ask a master's student like her to handle it?

“Professor, where should we start?” Xiao Lin asked in confusion.

“Let's start by rescuing the miserable master's and doctoral students in the scientific community who can't graduate. Here, this M78-502 planet looks good.” As he spoke, her advisor handed Xiao Lin a stack of documents.

Xiao Lin was dumbfounded. Wait, I study metaphysics, not astrophysics. If I could understand any of this, would I still be stuck in the metaphysics department?

“Just take it for now. Saving the scientific community is up to us, after all.” Her advisor sighed.

Well... all right. She didn't care about the scientific community or anything like that. As long as she could graduate, that was enough.
