Being a Landlord in the Detective World

One-line synopsis: A frail, sharp-tongued Shoichi and a talented, spoiled Matsuda fall in love. In high school, Shoichi Irie lost his parents in an unfortunate accident. He had no choice but to drop out and take over the family business, becoming the owner of an utterly ordinary real estate agency in Beika Town. He thought it was the start of the good life, but he never expected the death rate in Beika Town to be so high! As far as the eye could see, most of the properties he had on hand were haunted houses! No one wanted to rent them, even at a discount! He even had to clean the haunted houses himself! When he finally found five big idiots (crossed out) five upright, strapping police officers willing to rent from him, he fussed over them as if they were chicks he had to protect, praying and burning incense, terrified that if a few of them kicked the bucket, he'd be stuck eating natto over rice every day again. Of course... if he had known how much misfortune these five police officers would face later, he would have kicked them out. Especially that Matsuda guy, who actually wanted to pay his rent with his body! Matsuda: ...Pay with my body, my ass! Give me back my salary card if you've got the guts! Four members of the Police Academy crew: Let's leave the rest aside. You really believe that praying and fussing over us? The Washing Machine: I'm a death god too, so why do you only pick on me? Akai: This is fine. It'd be even better if you stayed farther away from me. Reading guide: 1. Sickly, scheming top; pairing with Matsuda, one-on-one, absolutely no wavering. 2. A sweet romance. Please keep your comments civil. 3. A somewhat unconventional rescue fic for the Police Academy crew. [This story will become a paid serial on March 6, 2023.
