Fu Qingshan attended her grandmother's funeral.
The old woman had died peacefully of old age, without illness or misfortune.
It should have been a good thing. The strange part was that, a few days before her grandmother passed away, Fu Qingshan had received a "death prediction" from a strange girl.
That day, on the bus, a girl in a blue-and-white uniform got into an argument with Fu Qingshan and shouted, "Your grandma is dead."
Fu Qingshan thought the girl had no manners. Little did she know, her words would come true.

The members' greatest lifelong hobby was collecting all kinds of unusual wood.
At first, Fu Qingshan didn't think much of it. It was just antique collecting, right? Everyone needed a hobby.
But things started getting out of hand, and Fu Qingshan realized that the wood these people collected seemed rather different from ordinary antiques.
Could ordinary wood really parasitize people???

The second thing wasn't good news either. Ever since Fu Qingshan had started dealing with people from the association, she had felt chills down her back and her hair stand on end, as if there were always eyes watching her from the shadows. Someone had set their sights on her.
The person watching her was a madwoman named Xianyeshui. She lived in a psychiatric hospital and was not to be trifled with: she disregarded human life, was domineering and vicious, and had kicked Fu Qingshan into the fire pit several times.
Fu Qingshan couldn't understand. "Do I have a grudge against you?"
Yesui didn't even look up. "You're in my way."
What way? Which way? It couldn't be the path to immortality those old ladies from the Strange Wood Association talked about, could it?
If this weirdness kept up, Fu Qingshan was going to call the police.
