Just after the New Year, a newcomer joined the Human World Ghost-Hunting Office.
At first, the people at the office paid little attention to the taciturn newcomer, assuming he was some young master from a cultivation family out to gain experience.
That was until the quiet newcomer, wearing a stony expression, held a little ghost in one hand and sternly told it to give back what it had stolen from him.
The others watched as the little ghost they had searched everywhere for dangled in his grasp, unable to break free, wailing pitifully.
"..."
"He's kind of impressive. Not sure yet. Let's watch and see."
Before long, the newcomer, who could barely get a word out, had somehow become the star of their office...

It had long been rumored across the realms that, before the War Between the Immortals and Demons, the Heavenly Realm's Wutong Fairy had pledged herself to Huazi of Yanjing Cave.
The two were a match made in heaven, and their love was a celebrated tale in the Heavenly Realm.
After the war, however, the Wutong Fairy sacrificed her immortal body, and her soul was sealed away.
Huazi lost heart and spent several years in a daze, gradually forgetting everything as time went by...

Fu Ye had lived in the heavens for thousands of years, then wandered through the human world before returning to the heavens.
When he woke again, he stared blankly at the empty bed, then ran barefoot outside. Only after finding that familiar figure in white did his anxious heart finally settle.
The Wutong Fairy, dressed in a white gauze robe, sat beside the newly arrived immortal maid, smiling as she gazed into the Illusory Mirror.
Fu Ye couldn't help taking a few steps closer. He heard his wife say gently, "The most handsome young master here is my husband."
#Even without his memories, he still thinks only of his wife#
#He could forget the whole world, but never his wife#
Also known as The Clingy Husband Diaries of Huazi of Yanjing Cave
That year, beneath a wutong tree, the Wutong Fairy gave Huazi of Yanjing Cave a fallen leaf.
Afterward, it kept him company through a thousand years without her.
