The Sword Cultivator Teacher at the Magic Academy

As the sword cultivator Duan Fengmian was ascending to immortality, he discovered that his worldly ties remained unresolved.

Only by severing those ties and settling the karmic debts could he ascend successfully.

But that bond appeared and disappeared, as if it did not belong to this world at all.

The lightning tribulation tore through the sky with a deafening roar.

When he awoke, he found himself beneath pointed towers and vaulted ceilings.

Beneath a dusty stained-glass window stood an offering to a faceless god, covered in cobwebs.

In the dilapidated building, the only thing left spotless was the round plaque beside the statue.

Its ornate lettering gleamed gold:

Vildren Academy of Magic

Duan Fengmian suddenly remembered that, during his Nascent Soul tribulation, his spirit had traveled through another world.

There, on a foreign continent, he had met an astonishingly gifted mage.

Together, they had roamed the wastelands, slaying demons, and carved a strait through the continent with a single sword strike.

But that had all happened a thousand years ago.
