[Main story complete~]
An Qi transmigrated into a cozy, everyone-loves-the-kid novel, becoming an adorable, healing little boy whom everyone adored. A passerby found him and took him home as his son.
His adoptive dad was handsome, but broke and conceited, boasting every day that he was the greatest under heaven.
But An Qi didn't mind. He liked his poor dad a lot.
An Qi had always been well-behaved and rarely asked for anything.
Until one day, Dad took him out to play, and they ran into an Immortal Venerable who had come down from the mountain. An Qi couldn't help sneaking a look at the Venerable's mount.
Dad asked him, "An'an, do you like it?"
An Qi gazed longingly at the big dog and shook his head. "An'an doesn't like it."
The man seemed deep in thought.
The next day, An Qi got a puppy that looked almost exactly like a miniature version of that mount.
Dad asked dotingly, "An'an, do you like it?"
"I love it!"
An Qi was so happy he didn't even notice the resentful look the puppy gave him and his dad.
Later, he took another long look at a certain bewitching beauty.
The next day, the beautiful older sister showed up in his kitchen covered in wounds, grumbling as she chopped vegetables and cooked for him.
An Qi poked his little head out from the doorway. "Big sister?"
Without even turning around, the beautiful older sister snapped, "Don't ask! I chose to do this!"
"Oh."
Later, he took yet another long look at a merperson.
That very night, the merperson dragged himself to An Qi's doorstep, leaving a long trail of blood, and knocked on the door.
His beautiful face was twisted with anguish as he forced out a smile. "An'an, I've come to sing for you."
An Qi said, "I don't want..."
The merperson cut him off. "No, you really want to hear me."
And so, An Qi gradually acquired lots of "friendly" good friends.
*
Later, an Immortal Venerable came calling, claiming that he was An Qi's real father and that his current dad was a villain who abducted children.
As it happened, Dad came home. The moment he saw the Immortal Venerable, he started a fight without a word.
An Qi did as Dad told him and went down the mountain to hide. On the way, he ran into the Demon King, who had also come looking for his son.
The brawl between two people grew into a fight between three, then four, then five...
*
The thing the Demon Venerable regretted most in this life was causing his son's death with his own obsession and madness.
He searched every corner of the world for his son, swearing a blood oath: if Heaven showed him mercy and let An'an come back, he would never let him shed another tear.
An'an likes someone's sect-protecting divine beast.
Beat it up and bring it home as a watchdog.
An'an likes the succubus queen.
Beat her up too, then toss her into the kitchen to cook for his son.
An'an likes a fish next.
Beat it up again, drag it home, and make it sing him to sleep.
An'an likes someone else, too...
Doesn't matter. Beat them all into submission and bring them home.
After all, in the cultivation world, might makes right. He'll do whatever it takes to grant his son's wishes. He doesn't care if people call him crazy. He wants his son to be happy forever.
If anyone else dares try to take his kid, then they'll die, and he and his son will live.
He doesn't know that four other people feel exactly the same way.
P.S. 1. A beloved child-raising story. The adorable-kid phase lasts a very, very long time. There are five dads and lots of good friends.
2. The original title was "A Guide to Raising Kids." A friend said it didn't sound down-to-earth enough, so I changed it, but kept the cover (pushes up glasses).
Coming soon: "God's Second Generation Is Overpowered, but Lazy" (currently drafting)
The eerie world descended, monsters ran rampant, and some humans awakened supernatural abilities to repel the invading monsters.
Rong Wen was just like his name: mild-mannered, obedient, and shy. Since childhood, all he'd wanted was to be a happy-go-lucky slacker.
An ordinary person like him, with no powers or connections, could only sink to the bottom of society and be trampled at will.
One day, a rich second-generation brat stole his fiancée and was about to humiliate him when a group of ability users suddenly burst through the door. Their commanding officer took Rong Wen by both hands and warmly told him to call him Uncle.
"We finally found you, kid! You're the orphan of my comrade-in-arms!"
Rong Wen politely asked, "Who was your comrade?"
The officer replied, "Oh, his name was Rong Aotian. He was one of the first evolved humans, the founder of the Ability Users' Alliance, and the former chief commander of the army. He tore apart an S-rank monster with his bare hands, and to this day, he's the only person to become a god.
And you, my dear boy, are the child of a god!"
Rong Wen: Oh wow! (smiles)
Rich brat: Oh wow! (terrified)
*
Ever since he was five, Rong Wen's dad had forced him to play a virtual horror game. If he beat it, he would inherit all his dad's assets.
Twenty years passed. His dad disappeared, and Rong Wen was still stuck on the first level.
Then the Ability Users' Alliance found him and told him he was the child of a god, the light of humanity, and the hope of the world (followed by ten thousand words of extravagant praise).
Then, that very night, they sent him out to kill monsters.
The nine-headed monster was nearly S-rank. The entire Alliance was helpless against it.
Rong Wen said earnestly, "Uncle, I'm actually useless."
The officer patted his hand affectionately. "You're too modest."
Rong Wen said seriously, "My dad raised me to be a slacker."
The officer smiled. "I understand. Humility is a virtue."
"..."
Rong Wen had barely been on the battlefield when his test results came back. They showed that he really wasn't an ability user. The officer went deathly pale and hurriedly sent people to rescue him.
But Rong Wen had already walked right up to the nine-headed monster and beckoned with a finger. The monster lowered its head and took a resounding slap.
Everyone watching the surveillance footage sucked in a breath. That kid was done for.
Rong Wen pointed at the rift and calmly said, "Get lost."
The nine-headed monster replied, "Sure thing, boss! Remember to come visit me!"
The officer, who had already been preparing to collect Rong Wen's body: "???"
*
Only later did Rong Wen learn that the beginner's village where he'd spent twenty years was a monster hell that had buried countless ability users.
Theme: Encourage yourself through hardship, and keep encouraging yourself when life is going well.

Why are there always so many difficulties? The emotion of a father missing his son is really easy to sympathize with. But it was hard to know that Zaizai's father would hide things and obstruct other fathers. I can understand everyone's possessiveness and Zaizai's fear, but I feel a little uncomfortable.
I feel a little sad for Shan Yu.
I really like this article. I am very happy, happy, and not abusive. Thank you to the author.
