The Joker killed Martha and blew up Metropolis.

At the same time, Batman died saving people in the massive Gotham explosion the Joker had set up.

After Batman's death, his daughter went completely mad and paid a terrible price to gain terrifying power.

Amid the corpses strewn across Arkham, Lilith held the Joker's head and took the hand Superman offered her.

The two, now consumed by obsession, resolved to create a world without evil.

Without realizing it, they turned everyone against them.

The four Robins from their past raised the banner of rebellion.

Then more and more heroes took a stand against them.

On the eve of the final battle, Lilith lost control of her power.

Superman, who was closest to her, was swept into a time vortex along with her.

The two returned to the time before it all began.

The entire Bat-Family had the same dream.

At the end of the dream, Kal and Lilith were both reborn.

The Flash sent one final warning through a time tunnel:

"Don't let them find out that you already know."

Reading notes:

1. Superman and the female lead are both seriously messed up. You can think of it as a spin-off set in the Injustice and Regime universes.

2. The female lead can resurrect infinitely, has a pain kink, and has a warped worldview and no sense of security early on. She can easily lose control, but recovers later.

3. Superman and the female lead have a love-hate relationship, and there will be scenes where they beat each other up.

4. Probably a love letter to electric guitars. Not a paid novel.
