You Came from the End Times

You Zhen has three things on his mind.

First, You Zhen is the name he gave himself. He is actually an amnesiac test subject codenamed "Angel." He has to keep that secret under wraps.

Second, he hates his traveling companion.

Third, he really, really hates his traveling companion.

In the fifth year of the apocalypse, a top mercenary renowned for working alone found a blond young man at an abandoned research facility.

He was beautiful and frivolous, and liked to put on a show of being frail and harmless.

Exactly the kind of person Chan couldn't stand.

He needed the man's combat skills, and the man needed his healing abilities. They hit it off, holding their noses as they joined forces.

Their personalities were poles apart. Most of the time, they did nothing but trade barbs and grit their teeth.

But there were exceptions.

For instance...

You Zhen looked at the mercenary's impassive face, full of thoughts about how to give him a good tease.

"Hey." Mischief sparking in his heart, he leaned lightly against the man's shoulder. He watched the mercenary's eyes finally react as his fingertip traced across the man's palm. "How about sleeping with me?"

"Sure."

He heard the other man say.

You Zhen: ...???

Wait! Stop! I was joking! Hey!!

When I fell, you made me reborn.

You are my only desire in life, and the only way I can die.

Reading guide:

1. An apocalyptic road-trip story. An overwhelmingly strong, mischievous seme x a gorgeous, spoiled uke who can heal and read minds. They fall in love over time (with a double meaning).

2. Anyway, their traits are hard to sum up. One can fight, one can heal. It's a sweet little story about them killing their way through the apocalypse. I finally couldn't resist writing it.jpg

3. My take on a Lovecraftian apocalypse. I just think an end-of-the-world journey with only two people is romantic. The names in the character section are their real names; the names in parentheses are their codenames.

Theme: Love is a form of salvation
