[Genshin Impact] After Binding to a Research System, the Doctor Be Like:

▼Novel Blurb▼

After his research proposal is rejected by his advisor yet again, Zandik, a new student at the Akademiya, suddenly finds an unfamiliar memory in his mind.

It turns out that in his previous life, he was a third-year graduate student who died suddenly after staying up all night working on his thesis. After losing his memories, he transmigrated into the world of Genshin Impact as the future villain who would do anything but good and be cursed by everyone:

[The Doctor, Second of the Fatui Harbingers]

Zandik checks the calendar.

The main story is still hundreds of years away. For now, he is a well-behaved and kind first-year student in the Akademiya's Haravatat Darshan, law-abiding and up to no bad deeds.

System: Are you sure about that?

Zandik: Yep.

System: Read the title of the paper on your desk again.

Zandik: "On the Possibility of Artificial Visions, with Eleazar as an Example"... Excuse me, what's the problem with that?

System: ...Could you say that to my face again?

*

Zandik, who was trying to build a computer by hand, still ended up fleeing the Akademiya.

The reason: the Akademiya's entrenched academic cliques, and the damn Grand Sage refusing to approve his research funds or equipment.

The Captain, First of the Fatui Harbingers, recruiting capable people everywhere: "Kid, you've got extraordinary talent and an impressive physique. How about coming to Snezhnaya for a visit?"

Zandik, searching for someone to sponsor his research, immediately hit it off with him.

Great, a sucker. You're the one!

Several centuries later, Snezhnaya, armed with futuristic cyber technology, has achieved an overwhelming trade surplus over the other six nations. Even the Grand Sage of Sumeru has to pay Snezhnaya a hefty annual fee to read his own papers on a certain website.

Grand Sage: "Once, I had an opportunity right before me..."

The Doctor: "Thank you for your purchase. Don't forget to pay."

Notes:

1. The Doctor is the original person, not someone who transmigrated;

2. This is probably an infrastructure-building story with technology turned into superpowers (?)
